Lauren Sutton Reed is a beautiful little girl who will be four on November 15th. She was born in Tucson, AZ at Northwest Hospital. Her parents, Brian and Carrie, couldn't be happier! Their prayers had been answered; they had a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Lauren was an angel, and her mother Carrie dressed her up as one as well. Love and attention is something Lauren has never lacked. Her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins love her so much. Everyone who meets Lauren falls in love with her.
No one knew that on November 15th a songbird was also born. Lauren is a singer and has been since she discovered her voice. At three months old Lauren was singing scales up and down. She has not stopped. Lauren is always singing. The song varies depending on her mood, activity, or if she has learned a new song, get ready to hear it over and over again!
Lauren's bright blue eyes and uplifting smile can make any day into a good day. She walks into a room and says, "Hi!" or when she is leaving, "Be right back." (With her hand resting on her hip.) Lauren is so animated in everything she does. She loves babies both real ones and dolls. She LOVES to push her babies (and many other things) around in a stroller, feed them a bottle, and put them to bed as well as pretending to be a mommy. She loves to do everything her mom does!
Lauren became a big sister in October 2002 when her brother Nathan Dennis Reed was born. At first, Lauren referred to him as the kitty cat, but soon she grew to love him and call him Nathan.
For a little person who is not quite four years old, Lauren has been through too much. Lauren was diagnosed with Sanfillipo Syndrome this summer. Before that, she went through several tests, a couple surgeries and diagnostic tests, months on end of being sick, and doctor visit after doctor visit, and now she faces the biggest procedure of her life. If Lauren's test results come back that she is a candidate, a stem cell transplant will be performed. This is needed to stop the horrible progression of this syndrome, she will undergo nine days of chemotherapy followed by the transplantation of stem cells.
There is one guarantee, through all of this and for as long as Lauren has a voice SHE WILL SING!
